Logo ontwerp 'Rowing Blind'. Een mooi initiatief vanuit studenten van de U.S.R. "Triton" uit Utrecht. Rowing Blind geeft blinden en slechtzienden de kans geeft om kennis te maken met roeien. Rowing Blind vroeg me om hun logo en merkidentiteit te ontwerpen.
Logo design 'Rowing Blind'. A charity from Utrecht that gives the visually impaired a chance to row. The charity originated from students of the student rowing club "Triton". Rowing Blind asked me to design their logo and brand identity.
De kleuren blauw die zijn gekozen slaan terug op het roeien. De sport wordt buiten op het water beoefend. Daarnaast staat de kleur voor betrouwbaarheid, een aspect dat zeer belangrijk is bij dit initiatief. Elke blinde of slechtziende krijgt een buddy die hem of haar zal begeleiden tijdens de training.
Verder is bij het logo gebruik gemaakt van een combinatie tussen beeld en tekst. De letter O in het woord 'rowing' kan hierbij gebruikt als beeldmerk. De letter is verwerkt in een roeiboot.

The blue colours are chosen to refer back to rowing. The sport is practiced outside on the water. In addition, the color stands for reliability, an aspect that is very important in this initiative. Every blind or visually impaired person gets a buddy who will guide him or her during training .
